Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great bank holiday weekend. The weather is actually nice for once - Hallelujah! I'm going out for my friends birthday tonight which should be fun - I haven't seen my friends from home in a couple of months so I can't wait to get dolled up, have a few tipples and a good dance.
I was recently sent this NARS Pierre Hardy Blush* from AO and I've completely fallen in love. I didn't think it was possible for a piece of makeup to be so beautiful! As a huge fan of NARS makeup, I was very excited to hear they were teaming up with designer Pierre Hardy to create a limited edition range of makeup to celebrate his new high-fashion shoe collection. The range consists of six nail polish duos and two *beautiful* blushes. As I'm not much of a nail girl, the polishes didn't really interest me but as soon as I saw the blushes, it was very much a "I need it!" kind of moment.
Larger than the standard NARS blushers, the Pierre Hardy blushes are similar in size to the NARS bronzers. Theres two shades available - 'Boys Don't Cry' and 'Rotonde'. Boys Don't Cry is a vibrant fuschia pink and Rotonde is a vibrant bright orange. As I'm more into peach and orange shades, I decided Rotonde would be more suited to me. However, I must admit, if I could have both, I would. They're both stunning shades. They also have Pierre Hardy's stunning avant-garde design layered over the top in the form of a gold shimmer. I was quite disappointment to find the design doesn't run through the whole blusher though, just the top layer. I'd of liked it to run right through but thats my only bug bear about this product, its still lovely none-the-less.
As I said earlier, the shade I chose is 'Rotonde'. In the pan it looks like a mid-toned peach but when swatched its a very vibrant tangerine orange. It looks quite scary when swatched but when blended its a beautiful soft coral shade with a hint of gold shimmer running through it. I'm not sure if the shimmer is a permanent fixture in this blush due to the gold print only being on the top layer but either way, its a very pretty shade. The formula is much like the standard NARS blushes - very finely milled, soft to the touch and easy to blend. I find the shade gives me a nice flush of colour and last all day long. Its the perfect shade for Summer and I imagine it will look absolutely beautiful with a tan on holiday. I don't have any complaints about the formula what so ever.
Overall I think this is a beautiful product and one you should take a look at if you enjoy using blush. For £30.00 it is quite pricey but it will last a lifetime due to the large size. If you fancy treating yourself to something a bit special, I'd really recommend it. These blushers are Limited Edition, so if you like the look of them, head over to the NARS website and check them out.
Will you be treating yourself to one of these blushes?
Lots of Love,
This blush is so pretty and nice for summer

There's something about this blush that I just don't like. I'm pretty sure it's the colour. I don't think I could get away with wearing that since I'm so pale! Maybe if I checked out the pink one, I'd like it more. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteYes it's probably a bit too dark for really pale skin tones! Although you can blend it out so its more wearable :) x x x.
DeleteThis looks gorgeous, but think it's a bit too pricey for me! Thanks for the review :) x

Wow.. it looks so pretty, but gutting that the gold doesn't go through to the pan of blush. It look so orange too, I'm such a blush chicken haha.. I am only able to use subtle ones at the moment, but I bet this would look amazing on darker skintones xx

Oh wow that blush is beautiful!

This is an absolutely beautiful colour! I have such a thing for blushes that are designed to look so nice in the pan :) Shame that the shimmer isn't all the way through though! I might pop this on my birthday list and hope someone gets it me because I can't justify £30 for a blush right now, no matter how gorgeous it is!

Looks like it might be just a smidge too dark for my pale skin! Looks so so pretty in the pot though.

ReplyDeleteso beautiful, I don't think i could bring myself to use it! pah... not really I would whip out that bad boy! x
ReplyDeleteThis blush is gorgeous! How would you rate the staying power - I often find that the colour intensity of blushers fades as the day goes on. I would love to try the Boys Don't Cry shade as Rotonde is a bit too peachy.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning make up palette - NARS is my new favourite brand and i just ordered some NARS multiple to get prepared for my upcoming trip!
ReplyDeleteI would really appreciate it if you'd check out my latest outfit post :)

The packaging looks absolutely gorgeous! But I personally think that there are better NARS blushes out there. So even though it pains me, I won't be indulging on this one. If I did, it would just be because of the cute look it has, and that would be a bad idea :-)
ReplyDeleteWauw love the pattern.;)

Wow, this is such a pretty colour :O It's going to be perfect for summer, corals are gorgeous at this time of year. Plus I love the pattern, I think Nars has some of the most beautiful makeup because the little details, like the pattern in the blusher, make all the difference!

Ah i saw this on your instagram and so wanted to see a review. I find it so annoying when the pattern doesnt run through, I find this with Burberry, so depresssssing! I bet it suits blondes anyway, may have to give it a try. I so want to try Nars bronzer in laguna! Ahhh. Hope you're good babe. Love Em x
