Latest in Beauty Glamour Beauty Edit Box* | £14.95 plus p&p | Link
After the huge success of their 'Glamour Beauty Edit' box, which was launched towards the end of 2013 (read my post about it here), Latest In Beauty are back with a Spring version of their much coveted beauty box. Unlike traditional monthly beauty boxes that require a subscription, Latest In Beauty release their boxes every few months containing seven must-have beauty products for the bargain price of £14.95 with no subscription involved. All you have to do is buy the box from their website and be on your jolly way - perfect.
The Latest In Beauty team have once again paired up with Glamour magazine to create their latest box and they've hand-picked another bunch of fabulous beauty products, or 'game-changers' as they refer to them, to get your teeth stuck into. The Spring Glamour Beauty Edit box is available to buy NOW so if you want to get your mitts on one, I'd recommend you be quick about it. I can already tell its going to be another bestseller! So, you're probably wanting to know a little bit more about the contents of the box so without further ado, keep reading to find out more ...
Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring | RRP £3.75 | Link
I'm not sure how I feel about this product but I'll have to give it a go first before I say whether I like it or not. Invisibobble is a super stretchy hair tie that looks like a coil and the idea behind it is that it leaves the hair 'kink-free' and is more gentle and comfortable to wear than your classic hair tie. For example, if you like to have your hair tied up for work but are going out afterwards this would be ideal as you could take your hair out of the tie and have no obvious bumps and lumps from where your hair has been tied up. However, my only concern is that its bright pink. I can imagine it looking quite childish in the hair so I think this would have been better in a more neutral shade so it blends in with natural hair tones. However, it is an interesting concept so I'm looking forward to seeing how it works!
Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm | RRP £3.69 | Link
Burts Bees is a very well-known and well-loved skincare, bath and body brand so I was very happy to see this lip balm inside the box. I've never tried a Burts Bee lip balm before but I know lots of people swear by them so I'm excited to give this a go. My lips are so chapped at the moment due to the cold weather so I rarely leave the house without a lip balm in tow.
Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paint in 'Tounge N Cheek' | RRP £7.00 | Link
I'm not a huge nail polish wearer due to the fact I'm a nail biter/picker (I always do it when I'm nervous or anxious) and my nail look absolutely atrocious. I know, its a disgusting habit, don't judge me. However, this nail polish from 'Cheeky' which is the 'new cool nail brand on the block' according to Latest in Beauty, is a beautiful coral shade that is perfect for the upcoming Spring and Summer months. It'll look perfect on my toes with a pair of sandals!
Daniel Sandler Long Lasting Eyeliner in 'Aqua Velvet' | RRP £9.25 | Link
Unfortunately, this eyeliner from well-know brand Daniel Sandler is the only product in this box that I don't think I'll get any use out of. Its nothing to do with the product itself but the colour just isn't 'me' and I don't know how I'd incorporate an aqua eyeliner into my makeup routine. I'm more of a black or brown eyeliner girl and I'm not very experimental when it comes to colour on my eyes so this doesn't really suit my personal tastes. However, if you're braver than me and like to wear colour on your eyes, 'Aqua Velvet' is a bespoke shade created especially for this box so that's pretty exciting!
Percy & Reed Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse | (50ml worth £3.00) | Link
If you've read my blog for a while you'll probably know that I'm quite the fan of big bouncy locks so any hair product that has the word 'volumising' on it is always grabs my attention. This mousse from Percy & Reed, a brand I've heard a lot of good things about, promises to create natural volume with plenty of bounce and hold whilst feeling lightweight in the hair.
Rituals Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel | RRP £4.00 | Link
I'm so excited to see a Rituals foaming shower gel in this box as I've tried one of these before and they're absolutely incredible. I'm not one to normally get excited about a shower gel but trust me, this stuff is genius and feels/smells amazing! It has a gel formula when its pumped out of the bottle but as soon as it makes contact with water, it turns into a creamy foam that feels so lovely on the skin. The last time I used this stuff it made me skin feel silky soft so I'm excited to get this in my shower and I may even order a full size bottle with the 20% discount code you get when buying this box! Yay!
L'Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara | RRP £8.99 | Link
Another product I'm very excited to try from this box is this Loreal 'Miss Manga' mascara. I've seen it flying around all over the blogersphere lately and I've heard a lot of great things about it so I've got high hopes. Apparently it 'builds natural lashes to their plumpest, lushest maximum thickness' which sounds good to me! Let me know if you'd like me to do a full review on this when I've given it a proper try.
As you can see, Latest In Beauty have pulled it out of the bag once again and have created a fantastic beauty box worth well more than its £14.95 retail price. If you total up the RRP's of all the products included, this box is worth around £40.00 so if you like the look of the contents, you're getting a real bargain! You also receive some discount codes with the box for some of the brands included. As I said earlier, I'm definitely going to be making use of my 20% off Rituals code. I can't wait to start using everything!
Lots of Love,
I got given the invisibobble to sample when I had my hair cut - they are ok, but I find they don't give me enough security in my hair! xxx

This box looks really good, I love the look of the invisibobble. xx
ReplyDeleteThis box is great value, shame about the eyeliner being aqua though, I agree you'd get more use with a darker shade. I love the packaging too, so sophisticated x

This is such a good idea that you don't have to subscribe. I really want to try out the L'Oreal Mascara looks like a good buy. My friend has the invisibobble and loves it, apparently it works well.

Nope this one doesn't appeal to me :/ Loved the last one! The only thing of interest to me in here is the mascara, but it isn't luxury or anything so I can live without it ;)

I saw this box today when it popped into my email inbox! Feel so intrigued after the last box. I must admit i quite like the look of the Daniel Sandler eyeliner. Like you, Im strictly a neutrals girl but i'd love to give a colour a whirl! I've always wanted to try on of the bobbles too - always wake up with kinks in my hair. Must admit, i reckon i'd be quite excited about the shower gel too! Sounds lush. Might have to place an order on this box :) Perfectly timed post Kayleigh! xx

I have just discovered your blog and I've been reading it all day, right back until early 2013 posts, I've been sat here hooked! I've got to say your photography is stunning and your taste in makeup is just perfect. Reading your blog has really inspired me to go forward with the blog I recently created, I'd love to blog more often! If you have any spare time it would be an honour if you'd check out my first post and look at my layout and stuff and give me some feedback, but if not... have you got any tips for a newcomer?

This box looks amazing! I've never purchased anything from Rituals but I always smell half of the products whenever I walk in, if I had 20% off I'd probably go slightly wild.

the invisibobble defintiely sounds intriquing but the technology is hardly new! i remember the exact same things being sold at key chain holders! well, it looks like some company found a new use and new way to market it, haha.

ReplyDeleteThis is a great box - I want to try that new L'Oreal Mascara & you can't go wrong with a Burt's Bees lip balm they're so good to have in your handbag
ReplyDeletehttp://www.letstalkbeauty.co.uk/
This box looks amazing. I agree though, I think the liner would be the only thing I wouldn't use. It's a very out-there colour and I don't think I'd be brave enough to give this ago! Plus it probably wouldn't go with my blue eyes. Wendy xx

This box looks pretty good (other than the eyeliner!) and actually pretty worth while!
