Benidorm Diaries - Day Three; Jeep Tour, Sierra Helanda Natural Park & Rooftop cocktails

I hope you guys enjoyed day two of my trip to Benidorm with and Visit Benidorm. We’re on to the third and final day of the trip now, boo! We were having the best time when we were there that we were all very sad when the last day came around. However, the trip certainly ended on a high and like the other two days, it was packed full of fun activities and delicious food!

We started the day like the previous two, meeting Sergio in reception after tucking in to the hotels delicious breakfast. We became really great friends with Sergio over our three days in Benidorm as he was such a friendly funny guy and couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had the best time. He was also super knowledgeable of all things Benidorm which meant he knew all the best places to take us.

With this being said, we knew we were in for another fun day! First up on the itinerary was a Jeep tour with Marco Polo Expediciones who were so lovely. The 4x4 Suzuki Jeep picked us up from the front of our hotel and we all hopped in the back seat ready to be shown some of Benidorm’s more beautiful sights. I’d never considered doing a tour of this kind before but it’s actually such a great way to see more of the place you’re visiting - not to mention so much fun!

The jeep drove us up the Sierra Cortina and The Sleeping Lion mountains, both of which had the most breathtaking views from the top. We parked the jeep up whilst taking in the beautiful scenery and of course took some scenic photos in true blogger style. We then made our way to Polop and Guadelest, two of Benidorm’s beautiful villages filled with traditional Spanish cafes and shops. The perfect place for an afternoon stroll in the sunshine and a glass of Sangria. I mean, when in Spain it’s essential, right?

After yet another fun afternoon driving around on the back of an open top Jeep, it was time to head back to the hotel to sample the evening buffet selection. After trying the hotels breakfast on the pervious days, I knew we were in for an absolute treat with the evening choice too. I wasn’t disappointed - the hotel had everything you could want with various meats and fish, pizza, pasta, breads and paella up for grabs, as well as loads of mini desserts. Not great for the waistline but well worth an indulge when it’s unlimited food!

After dinner Sergio told us we’d be going to Sierra Helanda Natural Park - one of Benidorm's most famous landmarks and a place you need to head to for all those Instagram worthy photo opportunities. As you can see from the photos, the views were absolutely stunning - I could have stayed up there for hours as it was so peaceful. After taking in some epic views, it was time to head for cocktails at Hotel Madeira, a rooftop bar located on the hotels 20th floor. As someone who is very partial to a cocktail (or five), this was like music to my ears. The bar overlooked the city and it was so nice to see it all lit up at night. It was a million miles away from what you’d expect from a bar in Benidorm which just shows that despite somewhere having a certain reputation, there’s so much more to a place when you look past the typical tourist areas.

So after a couple of Berry Mojitos, it was time to round up a wonderful three day before our early morning flight the next day. We said an emotional goodbye to Sergio, thanked him for all his help and made our way back to the hotel for one last sleep in those super comfy kingsized beds.

I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my trip to Benidorm and that it’s possibly shown you a different side to a truly beautiful place. Jet2 and Visit Benidorm set out with the aim to show us that Benidorm isn’t just stag and hen doo’s and that it is intact an amazing holiday destination for all kind of peoples - groups of friends, couples and families. There’s so much to do there so it really does cater to all kinds of people and needs. It’s also the perfect holiday destination for anyone looking for some sunshine not too far from home. It’s only a two hour flight, I found 3 nights to be a great amount of time so next time you’re looking for a weekend trip away, Benidorm is definitely somewhere to consider. Jet2holidays offer a whole range of package holidays to Benidorm so definitely check those out. also offer a flight only option if you aren’t looking for a package deal.

I can’t recommend the place enough and I’d definitely go back in the future. I’m already missing that beautiful hotel, the amazing weather and all of the delicious food. I also need to go back to Tao Bikes for another go on those electric bikes - SO MUCH FUN!
