A Fun Day in London with DayBreakHotels

I was recently contacted by DayBreakHotels about trying out one of their new DayBreak rooms in London. As I’m sure you all know, I’m constantly heading to London for shoots or events so when I heard about this new concept, I thought it was an absolutely genius idea. If you’re a fellow blogger, I’m sure you can appreciate just how annoying it can be to be walking around all day with multiple outfit changes and needing to use random coffee shops to change in. Having a base for the day where you can change, freshen up and nap (who doesn’t love a power nap?!) is SO ideal and quite frankly a bit of a game changer.

Even if blogging isn’t your thing and you don’t need somewhere to do approximately 10 outfit changes in one day (seriously, no exaggeration), this is still such a useful service to have access too. DayBreakHotels seeks to shine a new spotlight on day-rooms and services in day use hotels at amazing rates. The concept aims to overcome the idea of hotels and motels by the hour by completely revolutionizing their use. If you’re someone who is often travelling for business and has lots of time waiting around between meetings or flights, what better way to spend your time than lounging around in a plush hotel room for a few hours using your own personal coffee machine. Beats sitting in a crowded coffee shop if you ask me?!

As I mentioned earlier, I recently gave the service a try for myself and honestly I was SO impressed. Myself and my friend Victoria had been to an event in London the night before and the following day we had a whole day to kill before our trains home that evening so this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. We decided to start the day with brunch because lets face it, London is full of the most amazing brunch spots and if I could spend a whole day eating my way around them all, I probably would. We decided on a new place called Drunch which is situated just off Oxford road - the perfect location to take a break after shopping, another of London’s top attractions.

After brunchin’ and browsing the shops in Mayfair (again, this was only a short tube ride away), we checked in to the beautiful St.Ermin’s hotel, one of the DayBreakHotels partners, for an afternoon of wining and dining in the sunshine. Seriously, what better way to spend the day? We arrived at Westminster tube station and walked a short distance to the hotel where we were greeted by the most welcoming staff and checked in to our day use room. We’d been shooting images all morning and doing lots of walking so were ready for a break and honestly, I couldn’t fault the room. The bed was so comfortable and the decor had a really homely and comforting feel to it. There was tea and coffee making facilities available, a lounge area with huge TV on the wall and a bathroom with all the essentials. Basically everything we could need for an afternoon freshen up was there. We crashed onto the sofa as soon as we arrived and it was so nice to get comfy and have some down time during a pretty hectic day.

After some chill time we headed to the hotels beautiful restaurant to enjoy lunch and a few cocktails. I opted for the lobster with garlic butter which was absolutely divine! The food, drinks an service were absolutely impeccable and we felt so spoilt. After lunch we headed to the hotels roof terrace bar as the weather in London was glorious so it was nice to sit outside with a drink. Again, I can’t fault anything about our experience at the hotel and it truly was the perfect way to spend a day in London.

Wether you’re looking for somewhere to relax for a few hours in a beautiful room, take a dip in a hotel pool, spend an afternoon getting pampered in a hotel spa or just enjoy a beautiful meal and drinks, all whilst having a base to drop off your belongings and freshen up, I can’t recommend DayBreakHotels enough. Not to mention they’re available at amazing rates so it won’t damage your bank balance too much. Win win!

Do you like the sound of this concept? How would you spend your day at a DayBreakHotels? Let me know in the comments section below.
